Recent rejected appeals show we can win!

  • A wind farm will not be allowed in the Vale of Belvoir, a planning inspector has ruled. The decision was announced following an 11-day planning appeal.
  • A bid to build a wind farm with 5 turbines at Matlock was refused at Appeal in April of this year.
  • The planning application, by Nuon, to site 7 commercial turbines around Poplar Lane Bearstone Shropshire was refused by NSDC in September 2008, and the appeals refused in July 2009.
  • In dismissing an appeal for 9 turbines overlooking he Cynon Valley, the Planning Inspector concluded that the environmental and visual harm caused by the windfarm would outweigh the contribution it would make as a source of renewable energy.

We believe that our case for refusal of this proposal is at least as strong. We can win this fight for our countryside.

There is no justification for these turbines on either economic or environment grounds.
